This “little” telescope is another step toward our goal of making it possible for everyone to, “Experience the Sun our way.”

Sub angstrom H-Alpha systems have long been cost prohibitive for the amateur. Designs other than the Coronado are difficult to use because of temperature and F-Ratio requirements. Not only does the PST Double Stack have a bandpass of <0.5 Angstrom but it is also thermally stable and requires no more time to operate than putting in a eyepiece and adjusting the focus. Did we mention the price of just $1,359.00?

The PST represents the same technology and quality that goes into a SolarMax series telescope but with a few unique design characteristics that allow us to offer it for less than some premium eyepieces. The PST will show you prominences, active regions, filaments, as well as other surface details at <0.5 angstrom it will not reveal as much surface detail as the SolarMax series telescope and filters but it certainly doesn’t disappoint.

F/Ratio:F/10

And This Meade LXD75 Telescope is still lightweight, portable, and relatively inexpensive.

Meade LXD75 6 inch Telescope is the perfect “step-up” telescope for astrophotography anyone who wants to see farther and begin to explore astrophotography with a Meade DSI imager. Meade LXD 75 Telescopes give you a solid GoTo mount with time-tested pointing and tracking accuracy and enough aperture to capture the faint light of tantalizing deep space objects. The Meade LXD75 Telescopes German Equatorial Mount is the most sturdy, worm-driven, computer-compatible mount you will find for the money.

Whether you’re ready to tackle the exciting world of astrophotography or just want to upgrade to a larger aperture telescope, the Meade LXD75 Telescopes has something for everyone. Because Meade LXD 75 Telescopes incorporate engineering innovations from many of Meade ’s higher-priced instruments, they are the most serious, moderately-priced telescopes on the market.
The LX90GPS now with Meade’s Advanced Coma Free (ACF) optical system delivers wide, coma-free images with pinpoint stars all the way out to the edge of the field.

Specifications:

Autoalign - Telescopes with Meadeýs new AutoAlign come pre-aligned. They are smart scopes that know the night sky right out of the box. AutoAlign picks two fail-proof alignment stars for you and places them right in your viewfinder. Just center them to fine tune your alignment and the wonders of the universe are at your fingertips.

Diffraction-Limited, Coma-Free Optics: Meade ACF Advanced Coma-Free optics have taken the LX90 to the next level, raising the bar for both visual observing and astrophotography without raising the price. The LX90-ACF optical system delivers wide, coma-free images with pinpoint stars all the way out to the edge of the field.

Oversized Primary Mirror - Only Meade manufactures their primary mirrors in diameters larger than their listed aperture (e.g. the diameter of the 12″ LX90’s primary mirror is actually 8.25″).This additional 1/4″ yields a wider, fully illuminated field-of-view, and allows you to see the light other telescopes leave behind.

Slew Speed - The LX90ACF slews (moves) from star to star at 7 degrees per second. That is more than twice as fast as the competition. This means that over the course of an evening, a Meade LX90ACF will show you two to three times more objects

Rigid Cast Aluminum Fork Mount - The Meade LX90ACF’s Optical Tube Assembly is mounted on two sturdy fork arms giving you a rock solid platform for astrophotography.

LX200 - Series Tripod - The LX90ACF comes standard with the same sturdy field tripod as the LX200R series telescope.

Smart Drive - Meadeýs AutoStarý provides Periodic Error Correction (in polar mode). Over the course of one or more training periods your LX90ACF will minimize guiding corrections during long exposure astrophotography.

Autostar Controller - Meadeýs AutoStar can be updated after purchase - Free! Keep your AutoStar up-to-date, and your LX90ACF will grow with you for years to come.

Smartfinder (Red Dot) and 8 X 50 Viewfinder - Quickly and easily locate and center deep sky objects.

Ultra-High Transmission Coatings - This will increase light transmission through the telescope’s mirror and lens system. The result is enhanced image brightness on the order of 20% and a dramatically improved ability to resolve faint details on all celestial objects.

Features:

Aperture: 305mm (12″)
